Modular Tissue Embedding Center EC 350 for paraffin blocks
The Myr EC 350 is a modular paraffin embedding center featuring innovative design as well as easy operation. Multiple configurations of instrument set-up offer a simple and flexible adaptation to the working methods in the respective lab.
Dispensing console EC 350-1: easy to use operating panel
The dispensing module incorporates two large trays on either side of wax dispenser, used for the storage of cassettes and moulds and which can be heated independently of one another.
The operating panel allows for an easy programming of the working times and temperatures. The temperatures for the cryo console are also determined via this operating panel. It also can be controlled via an integrated potentiometer. An illuminated, two-line display with adjustable contrast informs on the current temperatures and timing alongside the date (five different languages can be selected, temperature can be set in either Celsius or Fahrenheit).
Spacious working area for fast specimen processing
The spacious, heated working area incorporates a non-glare white LED illumination and optionally, a swiveling large field magnifier allow fast, ergonomic operation. The paraffin flow from the dispenser can be released manually as well as via footswitch, with the flow rate set continuously if required.
A cooling spot, which is integrated into the working surface, close to the paraffin nozzle offers a lean workflow with short movements, and also offers a simple and fast specimen orientation while processing. Six independently heated wells for forceps accommodate cable-free standard forceps. Optional electrically heated forceps are available.
Energy saving automatic timer operation
The automatic timer saves energy through automatic turning on and off via a calculation of the individual pre-heating times. The user only need program the desired operating times, with everything else done by the instrument itself.
In doing so, weekends and, if necessary, holydays are automatically exempt from the automatic turning on, to optimize the durability of the stored paraffin.
